2 Simple Nail DIY Designs For This Holiday!

We are officially into the countdown to the holidays. Are you all ready for Christmas? MelodySusie prepare two simple nail design DIY tutorials for you gals. It’s simple and easy, you can enjoy a great nail manicure at home to celebrate your Christmas!

So here we go.

Holiday Nail Design

Step 1. Brush on a thin layer of Ruby Red, Lux Classics Gel Set.

Optional. Brush on a second thin layer for a richer color effect.

Step 2. Cure under a nail lamp for 30 – 60 seconds, or until it’s dried.

Step 3. Frame a triangle using the golden nail tape.

Step 4. Fill in the triangle with Viridian Ring, Party Queen Gel Set.

Step 5. Cure under a nail lamp for 30 – 60 seconds, or until it’s dried.

Optional. Brush on a layer of top coat for a better shine.

Snowflake Nail Design

If you want a recently trendy snowflake nail design, but are afraid of the complicated drawing. Here is a simple way to paint it, to use snowflake stickers.

Step 1. Brush on a thin layer of Air Blue, Sweet Reverie Gel Set.

Optional. Brush on a second thin layer for a richer color effect.

Step 2. Cure under a nail lamp for 30 – 60 seconds, or until it’s dried.

Step 3. Put on a snowflake sticker.

Step 4. Brush on a layer of top coat for a better shine.

What is an Advent Calendar

Most people definitely know when Christmas is coming, but having a little numbered door to open each day to reveal a prize certainly makes the holidays a little more fun! Here is a little history about Advent calendars (especially for us Americans!) and some great ideas for how you can make your own.

What is Advent?
Advent a the four-week period beginning on November 30 which has been celebrated since the fourth century. Advent, which derives from the Latin word for “coming,” celebrates anticipation of Jesus Christ’s birthday. 

What are Advent Calendars?

Advent calendars are cardstock boxes with paper doors that open to reveal an image, Bible verse, or piece of chocolate. Most Advent Calendars begin on December 1 and mark the 24 days before Christmas. The tradition dates to the mid-19th century, when German Protestants made chalk marks on doors or lit candles to count the days leading up to Christmas.

You will be surprised how much you’ll end up saving in the end.

Tip #4: Consider Boxing Day

For those friends and relatives that you will meet after the holiday, consider buying on Boxing Day. They will not know and you still have a chance to get some big discounts on great gifts.

Sometimes, DIY gift can save big while also add a personal touch to your gift giving. Hand-made gifts are great for young children, especially. However it might take time to DIY a gift, so start early and make sure you have enough time for it.
